(Shanghai Daily, Sep 01, 2006) CHINA Datang Corp, one of the country's five state-owned power generators, agreed to develop a 17 billion yuan (US$2.1 billion) power supply project in the southern city of Shenzhen.
The power company will build the project in two phases at Shenzhen's refined chemicals industrial park, Datang said in a statement posted on its Website yesterday. Hunan Huayin Power Corp, a Shanghai-listed unit, will do initial work on the project, it said. Datang will generate power by burning gas produced from coal to supply the city in China's manufacturing hub of Guangdong Province. The company didn't give the power generation capacity of the Shenzhen project. Source:Shanghai Daily tag:China energy |
