China to include new energy utilization into green GDP |

(China5e.com, Sept 8, 2006) Miao Shuju, Vice Chairman of Shandong CPPCC Provincial Committee and Chairman of Shangdong Provincial Federation of Industry & Commerce, suggests that China should strengthen development of the new energy industry, and that utilization and development of new energy could be included in the green GDP as an important index to assess local governments' performances.
