State Grid Corp.'s intention to buy stakes in China Southern Power Grid not likely to be approved

(China5e.com, Sept 12, 2006) Electric power expert told 21st Century Business Herald on Sept.6 that State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Guangdong Provincial People’s Government has an intention to sell its stakes in China Southern Power Grid to State Grid Corp. A senior official at the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) confirmed the news, however, he hold that State Grid Corp.’s bid is not likely to be approved by the SERC.
