(ChinaCoalResource, Sept 19, 2006) One of the two miners missing following a coal mine blast on Monday afternoon in southwest China's Yunnan Province has been found dead, and the other one is in a critical condition, according to local authorities. The seriously injured miner was rushed to hospital with severe burns. 90 percent of his body was burnt by a powerful blast in the mine shaft. The two miners who were earlier reported injured are now out of danger. The accident took place at 4:20 p.m. Monday, when 42 miners were working underground in the state-owned Enhong Coal Mine in Qujing, Yunnan. Forty people managed to escape, two of whom were injured, said Zhang Yong, vice head of Qilin District where the mine is located.
