CHINA OIL DATA: August Crude Oil Imports 11.8 Million MT

(Eastbourse, Sept 25, 2006) -- China imported 11.8 million metric tons of crude oil in August, or an average of 2.79 million barrels a day, up 34.8% from a year earlier, data issued Monday by the General Administration of Customs showed.
In the first eight months of this year, China imported 95.8 million tons of crude, the data showed.
In August, China exported 732,111 tons or 173,109 b/d of crude oil, up 45.2% from a year earlier.
