Shaanxi Province to cut number of coal mines by a quarter

(Coalinfo.net, Sept 27, 2006) Shaanxi Province will complete restructuring of major coal resources by Dec. 2007, and the number of coal mines will be reduced by over 25 per cent, compared with figures in 2005, according to the Meeting on Rationalizing Mineral Resources in Shaanxi Province held on Sept. 26, 2006.
