(CCTV, Sept 29, 2006) Many Chinese companies have found success raising funds in mega listings on overseas stock markets. But so far, none are currently listed on in Germany. The Frankfurt-based exchange is hoping to turn this around.

Deutsche Bourse has clinched a deal with the China Beijing Equity Exchange to get Chinese companies to list on its market. Under the deal, CBEX will introduce a batch of Chinese companies, mainly from traditional manufacturing business, to its German partner. Deutsche Bourse is currently talking to several Chinese firms about launching IPOs in Frankfurt. The exchange says it is more attractive than its main European rivals as it has the highest market liquidity and enjoys significant cost advantages.
