(State Power Information Network, Sept 29, 2006) The stone laying ceremony for the 500 kv power transformation station located in Wangsiying Township, Chaoyang District, Beijing was held in on Sept. 28, 2006.

Sources from Beijing Municipal Electric Power Company disclose that construction of the station will be completed on Jan. 1, 2008. The company promises to guarantee power supply during the Beijing 2008 Olympics Games, and not to limit power consumption in 2008.
