China’s automobile alternative energy sector not to focus on CTL

(Xinhua, Oct 26, 2006) Feng Fei, Vice Director of the Industrial Economy Department of the Development Research Center of the State Council, said on Oct. 25 that coal to liquids (CTL) should not be regarded as a major development orientation for China’s sector of alternative energies for automobiles due to its low energy utilization rate and high emission of carbon dioxide.
