(Sina.com, Oct 27, 2006) By 2020, the total installed capacity of nuclear power will reach 40m kv. in China, accounting for 4 per cent of total, which means China will build an additional capacity of more than 30m kv. of nuclear power in coming 15 years.

Wang Dazhong, academician at Chinese Academy of Sciences and former president of Tsinghua University, said that as a clean energy, nuclear energy will pay a more and more important role in solving the contradiction between China¡¯s energy supply and demand.
