(Oilnews.com, Oct 27, 2006) Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun said that the China-Africa energy and resources cooperation was open, transparent, based on reciprocity and mutual benefit and completely normal, and that the cooperation is only a part of, but not total of, cooperation between the two sides. In 2005 China imported 38.34 tons of oils from Africa, less than one third of that of some western countries.
