Akzo Nobel to build diversified chemicals production base in China

(Oilnews.com, Oct 31, 2006) Akzo Nobel will build a chemicals production base on a 50 hectare plot in Ningbo Chemical Industry Zone (NCIZ), making it one of the biggest sites for the company’s activities in the world, according to a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between Akzo Nobel and NCIZ.

The project involves building a plant for the manufacture of ethylene amines, chelating agents and organic peroxides. Akzo Nobel will announce details about the intended investment early next year.
