(Oilnews.com, Oct 31, 2006) On Nov. 1, 2006, Beijing will commence trial supply of heat to some households and other users. Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform said on Oct. 30 that the pilot pricing of household heating measurement system would be promulgated in 2006.

The capital city¡¯s total area of centralized heat supply is expected to top 110m square meters in 2006, which means 280m cubic meters of natural gas will be burned for heating during this winter.
