(Coals.cc, Oct 31, 2006) Anhui Province¡¯s Chaohu plans to build 87 300- to 10,000-ton-class berths, including six 10,000-ton-class berths in Wuwei County and He County, according to the General Port Layout Plan for Chaohu City.

By 2010, Chaohu Port ¡¯s passenger throughput is expected to reach 1.1m, and its cargo handling capacity to 43.8m tons. By 2020, the figures will reach 2m and 86.56m, respectively.
