Liaoning Province kicks off construction of first wind power plant |

(Xinhua, Nov 27, 2006) Construction of the Guodian Power Xingcheng wind power plant, the first wind power plant in west Liaoning Province, commenced on Nov. 24, 2006. The project has a total investment of RMB900m, of which RMB450m will be made during the initial project phase to install 33 wind turbines, with capacity of 49,500 kv, and the remaining will be made during the second project phase beginning 2008.
