(Japantoday, Nov 30, 2006) Major Japanese companies including Nippon Steel Corp and Toshiba Corp plan to establish an organization next month to help China with energy saving and environmental conservation, sources close to the matter said Wednesday.

The Japan-China Economic Association, which consists of Japanese firms operating businesses in China and the key figure in the project, will hold a meeting Thursday to call for several hundred domestic companies to join the group, they said.
