Energy Shipping to list in Shanghai on Friday

(Yahoo, Nov 30, 2006) China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., the country's biggest oil carrier, will list in Shanghai on Friday after raising 4.452 billion yuan ($569 million) in an IPO, the company said on Thursday.
The initial public offer of 1.2 billion A-shares at a price of 3.71 yuan each was the fifth largest domestic IPO in China this year. It was heavily oversubscribed, attracting about 380 billion yuan of funds.

After the offer, Energy Shipping is 54.07 percent owned by China Merchants Group's shipping unit. Its second biggest shareholder with 10.41 percent is Sinopec Group, parent of Sinopec Corp. , Asia's biggest oil refiner.

The stock will trade under the symbol ($1= 7.83 Yuan)
