| Construction of China’s first foreign-invested LNG power plant kicks off today |

(People.com, Dec 21, 2006) On Dec. 21, 2006, construction of the Xiamen East Gas Power Plant kicked off in Aotou Village, Xindian Township of Xiamen, Fujian Province. Xiamen East Gas Power Plant is the first LNG power project invested by East Asia Power (Xiamen) Investment Pte. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pacific Oil & Gas Limited (PO&G). The project will be constructed, owned and operated by East Asia Power. Its planned installed capacity is 4×350MW, with 2×382MW for phase I. On December 2005, Xiamen East Gas Power Plant Project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). |
