(Cnfol.com, Dec 29, 2006) Sources from Sinopec disclosed that the company might pump 40 million metric tons of crude oils and 7 billion cubic meters of natural gas this year.

In the past five years, Sinopec newly identified 1.37 billion tons of crude oil and 601.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas. An official at Sinopec disclosed that declining prices of imported crude oils contributed to the company¡¯s puchaisng cost reduction of 13 billion yuan.
