Shanghai Railway Bureau expands coal transportation capacity

(Coals.cc, Dec 30, 2006) Facing rising demand for coals during this winter, Shanghai Railway Bureau actively improves its transportation capacity to guarantee coal transportation to Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang Province and other regions in South China.

At present, Shanghai Railway Bureau’s daily cargo capacity reaches around 8,000 cars, including 2,900 cars of coals. As of Dec. 27, 2006, the bureau transported up to 1.03 million cars of cars, in total weight of 64.33 million metric tons, up 5.6 per cent on 2005.
