CPI Dafeng Wind Power Project kicks off construction |

(Cec.org, Dec 30, 2006) On Dec. 28, 2006, CPI Dafeng Wind Power Co., Ltd kicked off construction of 200,000-kv. wind farm in Dafeng, Jiangsu Province. Jiangsu Province vice governor Li Quanlin and top officials from China Power Investment Corporation (CPI) attended the ceremony held on the same day.
On Aug. 30, 2006, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) approved the project with up to 1.81 billion yuan investment wholly made by China Power International Development Ltd. The wind power plant, with total installed capacity of 200 megawatts, is composed of 81 750KW wind turbines and 116 1,200KW ones. Construction of the plant will kick off in Dec. 2006, and will be completed in March 2009.
