(Cpcia.org, Dec 30, 2006) On Dec. 28, PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical held a corner stone laying ceremony for its Sudan crude oil project with annual capacity of 10 million tons. The project includes a three-dimensional oil refining facility, special railways and wharfs and other supporting facilities.

The project passed an environment protection assessment in March 2005, and was officially approved by the State Environmental Protection Administration in July 2006.
