China and Russia confirm three-step cooperation strategy

(Sp.com, Dec 30, 2006) Heilongjiang Province Electric Power Corp. announced recently that according to the Sino-Russia purchase agreement on electric power, the two countries will cooperate in compliance with the three-step cooperation strategy. From 2006 to 2015, Russian Far East Grid will transmit up to 38 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity to Heilongjiang, Liaoning Province and North China Grid.

Russian Far East Grid will transmit 3.6 to 4.3 billion kilowatt-hours of electrify annually to Heilong Jiang Provine from 2006 to 2008, and 16.5 to 18 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually to Liaoning Province from 2008 to 2010. During the last phase, Russian Far East Grid or East Siberian Grid will transmit 38 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity to Northeast China Grid or North China Grid from 2010 to 2015.
