(Powerplants.com, Dec 31, 2006) On Dec. 27, 2006, the second machine unit of Sichuan Mabianhe zhouba hydropower station officially commenced power generation and grid integration after 72 hours of trial operation. The move marks that the Zhouba hydropower station was officially put to operation.

The Zhouba hydropower station, with total installed capacity of 102,000 kv., will generate 381.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. Total investment in the station is 900 million yuan.
