(Abcmoney, Apr 12, 2007) China's foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first three months of the year reached 15.89 bln usd, up 11.56 pct year-on-year, the Ministry of Commerce said. The statement published on the ministry's website did not give figures for March alone. The ministry also said that there were 9,297 new foreign-funded enterprises in the first three months of 2007, up 4.36 pct from a year earlier. Hong Kong, the British Virgin Islands and Japan were the top three sources of FDI in the first three months, it added. China's actual FDI in the first two months of the year was up 13.04 pct year-on-year at 9.71 bln usd. |
